Mokumbucha was founded in 2019 by eight Amsterdam based food students. Runan, Michiel, Jeffrey, Kevin, Sara, Iris, Lauren & Jill dreamed of starting their own food-business. Their vision was to make a healthy and tasty drink using fermented tea; kombucha. After tasting a lot of kombucha brands and flavours, they were determined to create a better -the best- kombucha in Amsterdam. Followed by the rest of the Netherlands of course. After a few tough months full of tastings, trials and errors and finding investors, their dream came true. They made the best kombucha of Amsterdam and way abroad.

Our Kombucha

The Centuries Old Beverage

Kombucha is a fermented tea drink, that has been around for centuries. The origin of this unique beverage lies in the Chinese region Manchuria. Eventually making it all the way to America where it’s a very popular beverage. Like yoghurt it’s fermented by micro-organisms, e.g. bacteria. This gives kombucha a light sour and unique taste.
